Just had the MOT done on my LCR, Great news it passed but with some pick up points.
1.N/S and O/S inner front anti-roll barhas slight play in a pin/bush
2.Vehicle has only just met the front brake imbalance requirements. Braking system requires adjustment or repair. RBT front brake imbalance 12%.

How easy would it be to replace the bushes on the anti-roll bar, and how bad is the brake imbalance and is it a costly thing to sort out, please help.

I'm not sure on the ARB bushes but one of your pads might be stuck or one of your calipers may have seized. I'd take the front pads out, grease everything up, wind back the caliper piston with the correct tool and refit.

Wishbone bushes don't cost that much, i'm sure someone will be along with figures soon but I have seen sets of aftermarket bushes (and uprated) go for around the £20-30 mark for pairs.

Bushes on the ARB aren't too costly to replace - just had mine done under warranty but I'd get uprated ones if its out of it.

Mine is an MY02 LCR and has got a used car warranty on it so i dont think bushes will be covered as they are a wear and tear component. so may look into uprated ones they will proberly last longer and can only make the car handle a bit better.

I will give that a try next weekend but what worrys me is that the car feels totally stable under braking and dosent pull no matter how hard i brake.

I had exactily the same comment on my 2002 210 LCR. My Seat dealer said thet you cannot change the bushes with out changing the ARB as they are all the same part..??

I'm not sure if this is true or not but my ARB has now started to corrode around the bush and the whole thing needs replacing.

Just been into JKM to ask about the bushes, and they said its the ones that bolt onto the chassis(D-clamp ones). They said that sometimes you can get away with just changing the bushses but sometimes the ARB has to be replaced as well the Golf suffers the same problem as well.
