most miles out of one tank?

i am only getting 400 miles to a tank.. where is this venting button??

does the butten self press when u put the cap on too.. cos i hear it venting hair when i put the cap back in

This is a TDI forum, right? So who are all these visitors who report only 300 or 400 or 500 miles?

Best I ever did was 802 miles. And then I only filled up a couple miles after the low-fuel light came on -- I could have easily gone another 50 miles. And the tank after that one got even slightly better mileage, though I filled up much sooner to take advantage of a low fuel price.

Yep thats the same button...
It lets the air out as you're putting the cap back on.
