More windscreen questions!

I cant seem to find the answers on the search function so:

I am having the windscreen replaced by autoglass on the insurance. I have managed to wangle a top tint, but there is a windscreen available with heated screen and rain sensing wipers.

Is the wiring present on the current loom for either of the options? i.e. If I can get autoglass to get me a rain-sensing, heated screen will I be able to wire them in?

what car is it for

personally wouldnt bother, more expense when comes to replace again and not strictly nessecary

i wouldnt of thought the looms will be there if the screens not fitted as standard

2003 1.9 TDI SE It will be no more expense next time - it only costs me the insurance excess!

The reasin I ask is that I know the loom for cruise control is already there in my model - all I need to buy is the stalk and a connecting loom!

The option for heated screen is a red herring since no Leon had that option, wiring is not present! The option for rain sensing means a different button on the screen for a rear view mirror that has the sensor, if you dont already have this then your current mirror wont fit. Sorry. Lastly the top tint windscreen is a pattern part so check fitment, i had a pattern winscreen fitted and to start they fitted it too low when this was corrected it stuck out too far at the top corners, it was removed and a Seat oem fitted that did fit! Just a heads up yours may be perfect!!

So will the wiring be there for rain-sensing wipers?? If I were to get a rear-view mirror for the option, will I be able to get it working??

not sure to be honest but would say no since stalk would need to change as well as mirror,a friend with an Octy with them says there a pain! I Just fit autodipping from an A3/S3 onto std button! Nice little mod!

You dont have a button underneath mirror to stop cars behind dazzling you, the mirror automatically darkens!
