Hi,
I drive a 2000 leon Tdi 90, well it used to be 90Bhp. It's been tuned to 115 Bhp Via a tuning box which seems to be a bit of a contentious issue among tuners!
I have a rolling road report to verify this but the car has an annoying flat spot at about 1800 rpm, probably due to the tuning box.
If I'm looking at the service book right, the car has the AGR engine? I am impressed with the power and torque from the car but I want more!!!
What can I do using standard VAG parts to increase the power? I would like at least 150 Bhp from it. The wife drives a 2001 Ibiza Mk2 Tdi sport 110, ASV engine. Am I correct in thinking that the turbo's are different, I've heard that the ibiza may have variable vanes in the turbo but mine has not?
If I could get the engine running at least 110 Bhp without the tuning box, I'd probably get a remap to get it to around 140 Bhp.
The car has a full Miltek stainless system from the cat back and also a replacement K&N filter in the standard filter box.
Any help pointing out the differences in the engines and how much power I could reasonably expect would be appreciated.
