Well, so I traded in my old black MK2 Leon 1.2TSi SE Copa for a new Monsoon grey Leon ST FR 2.0TDi (184).
All through Clark's of Kidderminster again and with no issues at all as normal.

Have to say it handles really well and the pull of the diesel lump never gets old (diesel man at heart unless its a yank V8)

I was fortunate enough that there was one at the dock with the spec that i wanted. Monsoon grey with convenience pack, technology pack, spare wheel and tow bar with twin electrics (yet to be fitted). Wanted the LED interior pack as well but in the process of changing the interior lights to LED myself at the moment.

For those who it matters to, the floor mats are the exact same fitment as the MK2 as well so put my rubber mats in. And the boot tray from the MK2 fits nicely over the spare wheel under the floor.

Plans in time:

Bit of an update

So since having the car, i have done the following:

• swapped all internal and external lights for LEDs:
  • front foglights
  • rear foglight
  • reverse light
  • front maplights
  • red footwells
  • sunvisors
  • rear courtesy lights
  • bootlight
• enabled the following via VCDS:
  • needle staging
  • cornering lights
  • rear sidelights as DRLs
  • both front fog-lights on in reverse
  • alarm chirp
  • lap timer
  • liters empty fuel gauge
  • one touch mirror folding
  • rain closing windows
  • carbon maxidot background
  • alarm chirp menufunction

Brief update

Unfortunately i haven't done much with the ST in a while due to other commitments.

However one of my LED fog lights has blown - i suspect a dodgy joint so need to pull it apart.


so next on my agenda is:


- better LED fog lights - i have ordered these: http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/new-gen3-h11-5600k-cree-led-foglight-headlamp-kit-3000lm-white/

- wind deflectors - trying to find a full set of 4 that will fit

- bonnet bra - im not fully decided on this yet though and depends where i go with my colour scheme.

- coloured badges

- Yellow tinted fogs and headlights

- yellow calipers

- got a couple of wheel ideas

- uprated horn - got a couple of ideas for this

small update

Unfortunately, once again i haven't done much with the ST in a while due to other commitments.

I have carbon wrapped my door pillars as was fed up with the gloss black getting scratched, fitted wind deflectors and also fitted a carbon bonnet bra.

- redo my door pillar vinyl as it has gone a bit weird for some reason.
