Hi all. i picked up my 55 reg lcr on saturday. it currently had a fmic, sports cat and stainless exhaust, by the end of this week it will also have performance panel filter, forge 007p dv and a boost gauge. could anybody recommend what stage map i should go for and any respectable mappers in the northeast. also is there anything else u would recommend i add to the car. thanks

I don't think its mapped. my mates got a golf gti t that's mapped to about 200 bhp and there wasn't much difference between mine and his. i thought with the mods on it he would of done it. i got it from a dealers and they didn't no so its just me guessin but surely if it was mapped it'd batter the golf. is there any other mods id need for stage 2. What sort of gains
would i be looking at.

so a 225bhp as standard with extra mods making more than 225 cant even " beat " a 200bhp golf?, although saying that you don't mention it has an after market downpipe which is what you should get first , this is what will make extra power. then get a stage 2 map.

Leave the Standard DV on, and save yourself £100, open cone filter would be good if your going stage 2 and a 3" TIP (check out Badger 5 for this) oh and make sure your coil packs have been replaced if your mapping your car.

thanks for the quick replies, it already has a aftermarket downpipe, the golf wasnt as quick but i thought itd have been abit quicker. ive already bought the dv just waitin for it to arrive, id been told the panel filter worked better than a cone filter have i been misled.

my LCR has all stage 2 mods minus the map. its running the standard map. ran 250 bhp and 210 ib/ft
stage 2 map will be going on as soon as ive saved the money to whack forged con rods in to safely handle the power
