Modding Leon Herts/Essex

Right, modding my LCR with no technical experience. I have a boost gauge and a Forge 007 - as I have no idea what to do (and to be frank, no skills or time), I want to get someone to do this for me.

I've had a quote of £175 to do this - does anyone know of a decent garage in this area to do it for (a lot) less?

Sounds about right for boost gauge fitting, a mate of mine got quoted about £300 to supply and fit the above. Your far better off asking a member or someone to do it and slip then some beer tokens as it should only take and hour or so, but then you have no guarantee with it etc

The dump valve is so easy to fit. Even I could do it, and I'm a complete DIY novice.

so the £175 is purely labour? you already have the parts?
bloody hell.
what they charing? £150 per hour?

ad agree with scotty, few on here have done it, its not that difficult.
most fiddly bit is getting pipe work for guage through from engine bay to pillar.

also, have think how you want it wired up. ie the light in the gauge.
some people have it wired up so its on with ignition, others have the guage light so it dimms along with the dash dimmer.
bit more work but i think its a nice touch.

Yeah, that's much the sort of thing I am after Andy. They are claiming £50/hour, 3 hours +VAT.

So, Does anyone want beer, or up to £75 for sorting me out?

and fitting the DV valve is easy enough no idea about boost guage though

if you get the clips for the DV ill fit it for you for free.
the original clips are once only fitment so these need to be replaced as they get ruined when removing them. except the small one on the dv. this you can usually get off without ruining it.

im in herts so not far from you.

or... come to the next herts meet, first thursday of the month at the crooked chimney lemsford. (wgc)
i can do it there as it really is an easy job. we could even do the boost gauge. im sure a couple of beers will surfice.
