Modding help needed!!

Hi guys......

Managed to find myself a lovely fast horse at york yesterday and I've got myself a grand to spend on some mods..

Currently got a 100% standard '04 LCR..

Cant really afford to lose motorway MPG, but country roads I can live with

What should I go spending my money on??

Can't fit stuff myself as I'm crap (can just about do front brakes!)

Any and all help greatly appreciated!

Remap, DV, Air Filter (if you can fit brakes you can do the DV & filter)

Dogbone mount, Short Shifter, and a bit of change still....

Secondly, change the Diverter Valve to a Forge One, you are changing a plastic with a diaphram to metal with a spring. Approx £90

Short Shift - £100

Dog Bone Bushes - Eliminates Wheel Hop - £ 18

The list is endless mate, but with a remap, you can continue with your daily drive without too much interuption, however its always there when you want it.

Worringly enough, after looking over the threads for a while that was pretty much the conclusion I had come to!!

Must be better at this than I thought!!

Any rec's for the air filter? (all this oiled and non-oiled used to throw me with my old ibiza cupra!)

Filter of Choice seems to be Dynatwist or Ram Air, but recently there seems to be a lot of interest in modifying your existing Air Box, and using a Green Panel Filter,

Yes mate, a lot of good things have come from their "stable" primarily a 350 - 400 BHP LCR, which is the way forward.

It definitly Helps fella, most of us have done this, you will see an increase in engine vibration, but this does settle down.

I'll add cruise control into the mix as well - that's well worth having (and will pay for itself pretty quickly too)
