MK4 Ibiza Cupra petrol

I bought an Ibiza Cupra in October, red 05 reg, petrol, has now got 7500 miles on the clock, i have been trying to get a px figure for the car, out of curiosity really, thinking about getting Honda S2000, every garage that i have been to wont give me a price as apparently the Ibiza Cupra is not listed in the Glasses guide that dealers use, therefore the only answer i get is that the car is unique and it seems to be they dont know what to price it at? Has anyone managed to get any px figures for the Cupra?

On the Vauxhall website you can value your own car with the glasses guide and it comes up with a figure of £11,700 px price in excellent condition is this about right?

I have looked on autotrader and there is none on there for private sale and only one for sale in a Seat Dealership at £12300.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds about right to me, PX such a new car your going to lose alot on it im afriad, the cupra doesnt hold its value well either, the petrol being the worse for it im afriad,

Why are you getting rid anyway? Ne reason or just fancy a change?

Sorry, i didnt buy the car brand new it was an ex demo, i paid about £12,000 for it, so if £11,700 about right i would be quite happy with that, i have always wanted an S2000 so just looking at the moment out of curiosity.

The Ibiza Cupra Petrol is a rare car though so i would have thought that would help.

Unfortunately diesels like sparksters are what people are buying now because they offer almost the same performance and do 50mpg.

The petrols are rare for that reason, best way to go about trading it in is to go in armed with some examples of what its worth and try your luck if they cant quote you a figues from glasses

I've found 13 on Autotrader ranging from £12995 for a 2005 05 reg to £8795 for a 2004 04 reg.

For what it's worth Parkers online quote:
Franchised Dealer £ 11910
Independent Dealer £ 11315
Private Good £ 10620
Private Poor £ 8635
Part Exchange £ 9725

They do seem to give very low prices for Mk 4 Ibizas, however.

I have found in the past that parkers guide seems to be way of the mark with any car i have had way better px values than parkers say. I tend to use the Glasses one because most dealers will use that. I only searched on Autotrader with a 60 mile radius from where i live, i had a look on the Seat web site, theres a few on there, all ranging from 11,500 to 13,000 the majority being at the higher end.

people are struggling to shift the petrol Cupra mk4's

I would work on getting about £9000-9500 part ex or 10k if sold private, they dropped like a rock unfortunatley. the diesels did better but even they are not shifting easily, a guy from my mates work just sold his 04 Cupra Tdi in yellow for £8500!!!
