car seems to be running fine , has star performance remap installed and fmic , no other mods when this was logged

duff sensor or dirty contacts, it's just a coil of fine wire which can make and break dependant on temp'

intermittant signal means its had a blip at one moment or other, reset it and if it comes back get it checked out, if its a serious error itll trip off the dicso lights on the dash.

sorry for the delay mate,,, still no connection at home,,, I'm changing the ISP in the meanwhile,,,

nothing that serious considering it's intermittant, prolly a bad connection as Nic and Brendy said,,,

sensor in itaself shouldn't be that dear,,, a friend of mine had it go on his 150 leon,,, but that was really shot, not just intermittant and IIRC the car wouldn't start at all.
So, just delete the code, look if it comes back and in the meanwhile start asking around [to Nic/cheshire car is a good bet I'd say] where the G40 is on the 130 engine. Might be on the ETKA too. This way when it'll get shot you'll know where to look. Takin it to the dealer would be an insult to your intelligence,,,

[btw, asking on other forums will inevitably lead people to think about the G40 supercharged polo so be clear when asking!!]
