MK4 Headunit Loom

Hi,

Not being very technically minded, I'm trying to sort out a changer for my ibiza, some people have been talking about a loom that may or may not pre-exist in the car already. I have no Idea of what this is or what it should look like. Does anyone have any ideas?

If anyone has a picture or can explain it to me, it'd be much appreciated.

the hu wiring loom is the set of cables that are all connected to the back of the hu

ok, but that doesnt ake much sense, cos by going on what you say, then every car should have a loom, however asking different some people have said with regards to fitting a loom that it depends on whether a car has a loom or not. So i'm a little confused, surely if its the cables behind shouldnt every car come with this then?

if its an option from factory i doubt the lead will be there,youll have to buy it when you get the changer

if your hu has the button saying 6cd/cd changer then the loom should be standard, and all you'll need is the adaptor...if it's single cd then i doubt it
