I picked up my chrome gear surround today, have gone to fit it and am having a little trouble, i've found the 2 pegs on the top and pulled them up and can now remove the frame but i cannot for the life of me get how to remove the frame parts so i can fit the shiny new chrome ones??

Any help?? the SEAT instructions are less help than a kick in the nads :)

thanks again

Warwickshire once.
use some sort of lubrication when you go to put the new one on the front of the surround or it will all end in tears.

PS there are two clips on the front one that need to be lifted before you slide it to the side.

Bumping an old thread, sorry guys.

Do you need to remove the gear gaitor to get the 2 plastic bits infront and behind the gearstick off?

Any tips/guides for doing it? I just don't want to break anything :p

Cheers :)

Doesn't matter, I done it :p

2 clips at the top of the gator, pull them up, then pull the 2 plastic surrounds and it should pop off.

The top surround slides to the right to come off, and the bottom one pops off :)
