Sorry to hear that Dave, hope the insurance give you a decent payout and you can get a good car. Did you manage to salvage your ICE system? it looked damaged in the picture though.

Are insurance companies good at paying out for these sorts of things???

my policy said it'll pay upto £500 for ICE but that will only just cover the headunit  haven't got any money yet so waiting on that,
as for next car i dunno, if i stay SEAT that'll be a beeza CUPRA TDi in they'll insure me and i can save up enough. if not i don't really know who else does good perfornace diesels.

Skoda Fabia VRS?

Just seen this thread ( i know i know ) glad you're ok, any crash you can walk away from is a good one!

Amazed by the pictures just how little damage there is to the main shell of the car, personally after walking away from that i'd be sticking with the Ibiza .... it took care of you very well!

Oh my :-o I saw the pictures you posted up a little while ago, but I only just found this thread with the whole story on it!

I feel for you - I managed to crash my Arosa at the weekend - but not nearly as spectacularly as that!! Good thing it was such a solid car and you got out safely.

Although this has made me realise how lucky I am (or how solid my car is) as I once hit a deer doing about 40mph and survived with only slight damage to the front bumper! Seeing this I realise it could have been so much worse

LOL

But seriously Dave, you're been one of the nicest people on this forum. I hope everything sorts itself out ok for you and that even if you don't get another SEAT (though can't think why after it probably saved your life!) you continue to come on here!!

Ok slushy bit over with:sick:

a bit of advice - next time you're out hunting deer, SEAT ibiza is not really the best weapon - unless you're intending to eat minced venison - check here for advice..

im a firm believer in u never get the same car again.

did the airbag burn ur face... i didnt know what hurt more the fact i hit a deer and hit a tree and the flipped over (in air back to the wheels) or the fact the airbag had now scared my face like a crispy duck lol
