Hi I have a 2014 leon fr. I wanted to upgrade the stereo so it has android auto. Is it possible to fit the newer unit from a 2016

It is possible, at a cost! If you have a unit in the glovebox and satnav then it is a lot easier than one without.

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that, there are specialists on this forum that can do it.

I had this recently and had a vag retrofitter use ODIS to remove CP. From what I saw it’s a paid for system so you might be best just getting a pro to do it, think I paid £60

Did you get hold of a unit on ebay?

I didn’t fit the headunit but afterward cp needed removing so I did a bit of Googling on the subject as I had no idea what it was and found a local retrofitter to do the work.

I would say yes, but you need to have all the relevant Swap 'FEC' codes enabled to suit your car, that would be a job for a specialist retrofitter I think.

Unfortunately not . I'm sure I've seen a post on this forum of how to do it, perhaps use Google to see what comes up?
