Hi all, I've only had my Leon for a few weeks now but the poor design of the cup holder area is already winding me up. So much so that I have bought a used centre console/arm rest with a view to modifying the section from the cigarette lighter to the cup holders. It also has 2 usb outlets under the air vents so for £40 delivered I decided it was worth the punt, although on arrival I was disappointed to find the cable has been cut so I'll need to replace or repair it. I'm thinking to remove what's there and attach a horizontal piece of perspex or similar wrapped in black leather with cut outs to drop cup holders into.
Before I start, I was wondering if anyone else had attempted this and had any thoughts or advice? If it doesn't work out at least I've not touched the original console and the usb outlets should make the kids happy!
