Mk3 Ibiza & Polo 6N Suspension

Rooting through the garage at the weekend and I've come across my old Ibiza Cupra Mk3 stock Suspension (Springs & Dampers). Now I can't see a need for it myself in the immediate future but I have a friend with a 1997 P-Reg VW Polo 6N 1.4 16v who want to lower it. I've told her that she can have my Cupra Suspension rather than her buy a separate kit, but I'm not sure if it will fit...

I've a feeling that the Mk2 Ibiza and the Polo 6N share the same chassis, and that the Mk2 and Mk3 Ibiza suspension aren't that dis-similar...

Just wondering if anyone can clarify?

PS. Should they not fit then I'll bung the kit on Ebay in the next week or so and post a link incase anyone's interested, it's the full front & rear kit off a standard 2002 Mk3 Ibiza Cupra, been boxed up in the garage for about 4years... Might even have the standard Cupra back box up in the rafters too so if it is then that'll be open for offers too

I think it'd be the front topmounts and spring mounts that could cause you issues, although I've never tried it.
I chucked an old set in the tip on sunday thinking they'd be of no use to anyone!

Cheers Kev, asked on Club Polo too and a bloke on there told me that it wouldn't work, the rears are similar but the fronts are different as he swapped N6 and Mk2 Ibiza suspension on his Mk2

Oh well, I'll chuck them on Ebay and see what happens...

You got a piccy mate? Odd question i know but i've been looking at a mates setup recently, and i think he's fitted them wrong, so just wanna compare his setup, as he mentioned having two bolts left over at the end!

And im a little worried.

I'll see what I can do over the easter break Matey but the kit I've got is off the car...

I've got a pic of the H&R Cup Kit I fitted in it's place in 2003 handy if that helps at all?
