MK3 cupra window regulators???

Hi all, done shoot me down straight away i have searched but cant find the answer im looking for, basically as most of us know the passenger windows are always a problem on our cupras, does anybody know of a way of fixing these but not replacing the regulator??

For example does anybody know wot component it is that fails?? and does anybody know if there is a way of fixing the component or buying it seperatley?? its just ive looked at prices for new window regualtors and they dnt come cheap and was wondering if you could perform a rebuilt as such?

Other than that if that cant be done does anybody know of a really cheap place to get the regulators?? and does one from say a golf gti turbo fit?? etc

If anybody does know how to fix it i could make a quide after to help others out.

Drivers is also a problem mate, my drivers side isnt wrking, try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins or so, somtimes that can sort it out, new switches are the other option.....

when one of mine failed recently i stripped the door down to find the cable tensioner had snapped which caused my window to actually drop

Golfs have a removable inner door skin which the window reg is held to but the ibiza doesnt have this. my local dealer changed mine cos i couldnt be arsed with the hassle myself but i was stung for 170quid fully fitted, 50 was labour i was told
