Mk2 top mount

[GTI16v]

Does anyone have an exploded diagram of a Mk2 GTi16v top mount assembly?, the Haynes diagram only seems to show two bits and I have three! Taking my coilovers off, so its been a while since I dismantled the original stuff and now cant figure out how it does back together! Did a few searches, couldn't find anything.

what have you got? just racking my brains,big black rubber top mount,small metal bearing assembly that fits under it,and top mount cap pressed bit of metal that sit on top of the turret.
theres a washer or two iirc

Flicking a bit further through the Haynes manual, it looks like the third piece is for the rear shocks, it has the rubber cut out where the coil spring sits, difficult to remember when you just have a large bag of bits!

For the front, its a bearing, large rubber thing and a top hat metal piece that I think sits on top of the coil spring, and then bolts up together, sound about right? Although when i took it apart last time it didn’t have slotted nuts to hold the assembly together, just a plain nut.

sounds right to me mate.
there was a flat nut from memory in the there somewhere,and then the big bugger on top of the "top hat" peice,when i changed to bilsteins the nuts changed again ,so i'm a little vague
