Hi all

I have just bought an FR tdi 2008 model. I was wondering are the washer jets adjustable as they seem to be pretty low on the windscreen. thanks in advance

Are you getting any decent spray at all, or is it a weak spray? Check the fluid pipe under the top of the bonnet, and make sure that it's fully connected and not loose.

If it becomes loose or detached, the jet of fluid either doesn't go very far, or you'll just lose everything underneath the bonnet and it will flood around the rightside wheel.

My pipe connector was loose from day one, and I couldn't work out why I wasn't getting anything on the screen until I noticed the big puddle. I have had to cable tie the connector into the fitting to stop it wiggling loose every time I open the bonnet.

Thanks for the reply to my message. The washer jets have a good supply of water its just that they seem to spray quite low down on the windscreen rather than the middle area. I was just wondering if they can be adjusted in any way, as they dont seem to be like the normal design i.e metal ball inside the plastic housing
