Mk2 Leon carpets - damp

Has anyone lifted the carpets in the front of a mk2 Leon?

Are there any pipes or holes under them? I'm getting damp carpets under the mats....but its like the water is coming up the way, as its only under the mats and I can't find any water around them.

Its worse on the drivers side under the mat, just behind the plastic part in the carpet.

funny you say that as i was cleaning my car out last week and felt a wet bit under the passengers seat, i thought it might have just been water leaking out of a bottle or something but might need to investigate a bit further

it kinda comes and goes. It was dry today when i checked but I'll check again next time I wash the car if it stays dry.

I have a sunroof so also wondered if it could be that.

It just feels damp, but when I use my extractor you see it sucking up water through the clear nozzle.

maybe a grommet come loose from the floor pan or something???

Yeah I was thinking something like that....but strange its both sides.

I had wondered if I'd screwed the plastic clips though something when the mats were fitted. Buts that's how your supposed to fit them and they were on from new.
