Mk2 dimmer controls?

Is there a wire on a Mk2 that I can connect the wire on my Alpine head unit via the ISO connector, so that I can control the brightness of the unit via the dash control for the brightness of the clocks? The head unit being up so high makes a bit bright at night?

Yeah that’s the one I meant, but didn’t know if there is a wire on the loom/cars ISO that can be connected to the wire from my head unit?

took my dimmer out once,not hard to do,just running the wire round/finding which one it is would cause a few questions.good luck

wouldnt need dimming just a supply for lights on usually

most head units just have a low mode and normal mode

check the loom for a +12v when lights on only ?

Cheers guys, will have a look at my Alpine manual and see what it needs, if its just a case of 12v when the lights are on it shouldnt be to difficult.

Orange is usually headunit dimming.
