What I do is use a screw driver on the inside! Just flick the lock mech and it pops open.

Although a solinoid would be best, could wire it to rear wiper so when you push stalk for rear washer it pops the boot instead.

hi there. i have my lock and wiper smoothed off and i have a solenoid inplace. just have the button on the dash board and it pops everytime. i just used a cable tie to pop mine off the soleniod onto the latch

I have just got a length of wire running to behind the drivers seat/door and pull that and lift the boot with the other hand. Light weight :)

trust me it won't, not even a fishing line..... stretches too much, only thing I found that worked was a wire of 16AWG cable

dave, i think he must of been taking the p***!! string???? come on??. iknow on some of the older fords they had a cable with a lever at the side of the drivers seat. was thinking about a solanoid but need some help sourcing the right one. i knew you`ve done it and have abit of wire to do the job as you need to save as much wieght as possible.

i used to have to open my boot from the inside and it didnt take much effort to flip the latch. i was taking the p*** a little bit, probably best with cable.

You need to pull the latch, unless you place the solaniod behind the latch (on the boot skin) then push lol.

Or a clever little linkage, I was going to sort something for mine but then thought why add weight and also I only need to get into the boot when the battery is flat and then the solaniod won't be able to open it because the the battery will be flat
