I've got issues with my car at the moment and in need of some help. I've had a lot swapped recently and had the problems since the engine change
I'm not over my 15posts yet so I can't upload any pictures at the moment so I will do my best to describe it and give as much info as possible.
I've had a look on the forum for anything with similar symptoms but with me not knowing what my problem is it's hard to know if it's already been covered and I apologise in advance if it has.
So I have a 2002 seat Leon Cupra 1.8t (ko4 s3 apy block)
Epc warning lamp on (constant doesn't go off even clearing codes)
Revs drop when I come out of gear coming up to lights,junctions it drops to 500rpm battery light flashes then it idles fine(odd occasion it cuts out when it drops)
It seems to hold boost if you put your foot down in lower gears and holds boost fine but If I put it in 3rd or above at the average speed for each gear I put my foot it seems to be hesitant (whistle/screech like a intercooler hose leak between 15-22psi) hits 22 psi then drops back down to 13psi then it feels flat until I let off and back on the accelerator.
My mpg is rediculous. I brimmed it yesterday and my trip only said 170 miles to £67. Did 3/4 of a tank in doing a 120 mile motorway run 70-75 all the way and stuck in abit of traffic for half hour
Fault codes :
18084-epc warning lamp(k132) circuit electrical malfunction
P 1676 35-10 intermittent
17931-crash sensor from airbag controller implausible signal
P 1523 35-10 intermittent
^^^^*could theses be linked to my issues or could the airbag controller cause the epc (if so what should I look for and where ^^^^^^^^
So far I have checked or replaced since the problem started
Maf replaced
Crankshaft postion sensor replaced
Throttle body replaced (tried 3 used ones )
Wastegate checked
Re sealed the billet on the tip
Changed spark plugs
Changed fuel filter
Replaced all rubber hoses clips and clamps throughout apart from coolant pipes
I made a contraption today to test for leaks between turbo and inlet while the engine was swiched off as I had a suspicion it was my intercooler pipes
I put I bung in the intake hose(throttle body hose) and in the 90deg hose of the turbo,disconnected the n75 pipe off the charge pipe and fitted a tyre valve in place,I then pressurised it and it would only go to 7psi,I also noticed a hissing from the airfilter so I disconnected the divertor valve from the tip and it was this leaking the air (forge 007p revised piston just service with yellow spring )
I did the same test again but took the dv out and bunged the pipe up (charge pipe to dv) and it went up to 25psi and held there for 10 minutes so I know there's no boost leaks. So is the divertor valve causing my problems? I've heard the vacuum pipe helps to keep it closed when your in boost so it wouldn't open at 7psi like it does with the engine off but I'm unsure of that.
Here's a list of parts been fitted to save having to ask for info if it's needed. I'm unsure of who mapped the ecu too,also I was told my current fuel pump was ok for what I've had done but I'm abit unsure
All in all it's had
Complete apy engine 122k fsh including engine loom and mapped immo off ecu (could this cause epc?)
Reconditioned ko4-22 turbo
Reconditioned 6 speed box
New LUK fly wheel
New LUK clutch kit
Relentless downpipe
Toyo intercooler (600x300)
Cobra resonated catback
Saukimichi catch tank
Oversized billet tip
Sai removed
N112 removed
N249 removed
All hoses are new
Any hints tips or anything that I havnt mentioned already would be a massive help as I'm just spend on bits I don't need I don't really know what else to put it down to other than a poorly refurbished turbo(to explain the sound over 13-16psi), ecu related either from de immo or generic/poor map ,faulty divertor valve(unsure of this with the comment I mentioned erlea).
