It's gotta go in anyway, after reading threads on lenses misting, I assumed it would be quite minor - it is terrible, so bad, that water drips down the inside of the glass !
I am generally impressed with the build quality but I question the consistency wrt level of equipment, the grab handles aren't damped, it's only a flippin' spring, no gas strut to hold up the bonnet, the storage bins aren't lined - I could go on. Pleasantly surprised about the full sized alloy spare, but is it necessary ? I am not one of those 'something for nothing' peole who expect everything, but I am talking about stuff that costs pence - not even pounds. Halfrauds sell interior light assemblies for glove boxes (and boots) for 89p for goodness sake. The damped grab handles are made by making one hinge tighter and adding a spring to other, I'll make my own, just pennies. Why ? That spare is worth (at their prices) £150 booted. I have e-mailed Seat UK pointing these things out - no reply.
They have got to listen to the people who count - US. Wifey buys a Renault - standard kit includes auto rain detect wipers, auto-on lights, self healing headlight lenses, air-con outlet (and light) in glove box (handy for those sandwiches), the list is endless. They threw in leccy sunroof, as she is a repeat customer ! What did I get ? Still love the car - it is loosening off now (250 miles) and for a diesel spins quite freely, well chuffed.
