Hello all.
I have a 2000 plate Cupra which has a problem around the 4500-5500 revs mark.

When you reach about 4500rpm it kinda feels like a misfire and you get a definite loss of power but seems to clear after 5500rpm

It only seems to happen in 3rd - 6th.

I has been fully serviced from new by Seat, if that is important :), and has 77000 miles. Also I only ever run it on Shell Optimax.

Anybody have any ideas?

I would guess so, but I don't have a boost gauge to be sure, but it is certainly happening when I am...ahm....pressing on shall we say :)

By dv do you mean dump valve?

I had the same problem with my 77000 fully serviced cupra. No codes came up on the vagcom. I changed the coils and cleaned the throttle body and i havent had a judder or miss-fire since.
Might be worth a try.

Thanks for all the info gents.

Think I may start with the coil packs, then upgrade the DV.

I assume that the forge 007p DV will make a better tssssh sound (technical i know  )
