Basically was driving yesterday and i hit about 5k revs in 3rd gear and all of a sudden car lost boost and started back popping (similar to TCS but this was off!)

Now the car is misfiring quite bad when i rev it on the spot and its popping etc and if i try driving it it is jolting and bouncing lol

Basically undriveable!

Vagcom'd today and these were the codes

18010 P1602 Power Supply (B+) Terminal 30 Low Voltage
16885 P0501 Vehicle Speed Sensor Range/Performance
16804 P0420 Catalyst System,Bank1 Efficiency Below Threshold
16795 P0411 Sec.Air Inj.Sys. Incorrect Flow Detected
16621 P0237 Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ Low Input

Can anyone shed some light on a problem here?

I was at least expecting a cylinder misfire code but it hasnt come up at all

Im stuck!

Cheers

Will the map sensor cause the misfiring then?

Would this also be the cause for all the codes?

Just confused about the first 2 mainly as they are quite different to the rest

Cheers

THe Map sensor measures boost pressure. With an incorrect reading, the ecu has no idea what's going on and fueling will be all over the place, hence misfire.

First code is because battery has been disconnected. I wouldn't worry about the second unless it comes back when cleared; the third's likely to be as a result of the map sensor problem.

Thanks for the help appreciate it

Ill take a closer look at the map sensor then

I was jet washing under my wheel arches yesterday and they have been cut slightly to stop rubbing issues so ill make sure the jet wash hasnt damaged the sensor or wiring first of all and go from there

Cheers

I just PM'd Sermotors on here gave him the car details

It was about £35 iirc

Cheaper than anywhere else by far :)

EDIT: p/n 038 906 051 comes as a thrust sensor

its on the pipe going from the intercooler to the inlet manifold, best to get it from underneath the car behind the bumper on the passengers side.

Bit tricky to access but is basically undo 2 screws and disconnect it easy stuff.
