misfire,, help please

i had a guy plug my car into vagcom on the weekend and the car is misfiring on cylinder 1, any ideas please guys,thanks daz

Sounds like dodgy coil pack there known for it mate.

Yes will more than likely be a coil pack, I've had two go in the last 3 months. Cheap to replace cost around £22

Thats very cheap think yourself lucky! Yes very easy to change as mork said.

sorry mate i was being sarcastic i thoghut it was gonna be at least a ton, but 22 quid is good, mork this may sound dense but when you say the right one mis firing do you mean cylinder or coil pack, sorry daz

Maybe worth replacing them all, and keeping the working ones as spares?

or just taking the car to seat coz they will change it for free because they know bout the dodgy coil packs. they will replace all 4 free of charge but they will only change them if one or more goes wrong
