Misfire cylinder 1

Hello guys, Rite my car has been missing on full boost then engine light came on, Turned out to be cylinder 2 misfire so i brought a new coil pack and all was well, Until just now it started running on 3 cylinders engine light flashing, pluged it in and it was clylinder 1 so i swaped a coil pack from cylinder 2 and put in on cylinder 1 and still missing. The problem i have is 1st what is the the chance of a plug just failing? Second the plug in cylinder 1 has been roounded of by the previous owner ( last service ) so will have to try and get that out any idears on that? and 3rd what is the chance of rings going on cylinder 1 ( 100,000 miles ) any help idears would be good.

It could be a faulty plug ive had it before.
As for the rings and internals is the car smoking at all (bue) if so it could be more costly, first things first tho change the plug

nah luckly its not smoking so i dont fink its the rings! going to have to try a easy out!

I had the same problem a few wks ago - enigine light flashing, misfire and smoke turned out to be an injector blocked open and too mcuh fuel getting in - luckily enough for me it unblocked itself before i had to replace it and its ran ok ever since. Hope this helps
