Mirrors

Right I was unsure which to get M3 or DTM

Firstly, I'm not gettin these just for sake of it, I'm gettin them because a pair of new mirrors would work out cheaper than orderin one standard mirror Very Happy

Anyway, I was kind 55/45 in favour of M3. So I did a poll on my other cruise site and DTM won. Still I was thinkin about M3.

Just been to purchase of eBay and they have none left Sad So i've had to order DTM. Hopefully these will grow on me more with time Very Happy (I pray to god they do Very Happy)

Do you think I made the right choice?

the sensor is inside the passenger side mirror

obviously it isn't going to fit inside aftermarket mirrors correctly, you could just pop it behind the glass and secure it in some way, thats if it fits mind. but not sure how reliable it will be, while the reading might not bother you, it might disturb your air conditioning (assuming you have that??)

that'll be why my sensor is still workin. It the drivers mirror that has been kicked off mine (all be it, hangin on by the cables and duct tape :D)

is it possible to put the sensor on the inside of aftermarket mirrors

like i said above, if you remove the glass and see there is enough room inside the unit then might be ok. but it wont like being knocked about, so secure it with hardcore double sided tape or something

another question.

the drivers mirror has litteraly been kicked off, so i'm guessin for that all i need to do is remove the base plate, and then follow instructions from the DTM provider as to how to fit their baseplate and mirror.

when i get to the passenger mirror, how "delicate" do i need to be when removing it. Basically what I'm tryin to say is, will the wire (I'm asumin i'll be no thicker then electrical/speaker wire) snap easy if pulled off too hard?

already ordered the DTMs now - how much would you want for the drivers side? If I can't get the DTMs on I may just re-list em and purcahse your mirror ;)

couldn't find M5's. I was after them for the same reason, less common!
