miltek exhaust fitment!!!!

i put on my cat back non res system sounds nice but was knocking on rear bumper so put it into garage and they adjusted but now knocks slightly on rear axle when i go over bumps just wondered if anyone else had or has this problem or if they do just do this any help or advice will be appreciated!!!!

Hi I have the resonated system and that knocked on the rear axel even after a few attempts to sort it out. We had to force it up toward the engine (theres a metal 'sock' IIRC which it fits into) to give it the few mm it needs for clearance and its fine now. We used a pit but If you can find ramps or a high kerb you can get under the car enough to do the job.

not quite sure i understand what you have done sorry to sound dumb :confused: there is about 6mm clearance from the axle to the exhaust but it just knocks on going over little bumps

The whole exhaust needed to move forwards a bit toward the engine to give clearance, there was a metal 'sleeve' (a flexible pipe, I think it connected the exhaust to the cat) which it wedged into and it just needed pushing further into it. This moved the exhaust away from the rear axle by a few more mm, enough to stop any contact. I hope this is a bit clearer, its a little difficult to explain without a diagram or picture to show it :)
