Hi i'm having trouble trying to get my milltek exhaust from vibrating on the bottom of my car . Has anyone else had this problem ?
Would fitting uprated rubbers help my situation ? If so what ones have people used ?
Please help it's really getting on my nerves ! :censored:

I had the very same problem. It kept knocking and vibrating on the rear axle after 6 attempts at resetting it myself i gave in and took it to a a garage.
They pushed the whole system 2-3 inches further back and put clamps on the inside of the rubbers to hold it tight and stop any movement.
Also before i found that no matter what position you put the exhaust in it was never square but now it sit very close to the bumper and sits perfectly straight.
Photobucket isn't working at the moment I'll post some pics later on

Mine was knocking and rattling in the past, just took it back to the garage and they managed to sort it. Its not impossible to do.

i have chosen to get some new mounts to sort this as its pissing me off still

mine sits perfectly straight its just that it knocks on the axel, so gonna pick up some powerflex ones for the rear 2 that will hold it tighter than the oe ones do, hopefully this will sort it out

Yeah it just wouldn't sit straight at all at first, just a small heating up of the bracket and some adjustment sorted it, nothing unusual or nowt.....

i would like the system a little bit higher.....but im fairly happy with it...

where do you get the different bushes from and what do they aim to do???

i had the same prob on my milltek. had it on a ramp and there was no way of getting right as it was. it either sat correctly in the cut out and knocked like buggery or was totally out in the cutout (touching the bumper) but rarely knocked

it looked to me like the welded join in the rear section wasnt in the correct position

emailed milltek about it and told them about it

they were really good! offered for me to take it up to them (luckily only about 8miles)

they had a look and did indeed cut where it was welded and rotated it slightly and welded it all back up. fits absolutely perfectly now!!

great customer service!!

whole thing only took about 2hrs

Me 2 but only have the downpipe & cat and i think the only thing it hits is the heatshield!

Can the heat shield be taken off? Or does it have to stay there because of the soft plastic pipe its protecting?
