Hi guys,

Just wanted to ask anyone what they think, have the following mods on my car but dont know what to go for next if anyone could help, either looking at a Forge FMIC or the milltek downpipe and 100 cell race cat  :

Revo stage 1
Forge 007p
FK Silverline coilovers
Milltek cat back exhaust
eibach 15mm spacers
momo/seat sport strut brace
Dynatwist CAI.

Cheers.

i went for the DP before the FMIC, no particular reason behind it though other than it was cheaper

the problem is neither make a massive difference like the remap so its hard to decide which is more worth doing, bu if you plan to do both eventually i'd just get which ever you can afford first.

ofcourse if your planning to going for a k03s some time then might save abit of time fitting a DP at the same time

cheers acidstrato, i can afford both right now but cant decide which to go for lol plus my insurance already covers a full milltek system so thats another saving but i like the look of having the FMIC, will it increase power by alot? i know the milltek dp will add 5bhp ..

if you've got the money and plan on buying both eventually then you might as well just buy both now
if your plan is to extract every bit of power available then this is the way to do it

i wont lie, its alot of money for the gains. but both add a little something extra.

cool, im just thinking FMIC because there is alot of heatsoak and with summer coming up its will be hard to maintain power? but ive only got money for one of them right now .. but would love to have both at some point ..

miltek are now 200 cells mate, older ones have mroe flow, but the difference is only marginal. blueflame are 100 cell i believe.

I would go with the FMIC, I even thought the standard DP sounded better with the ko3s on mine! I now have miltek the fitters are cr**! Never been rightt!

I was going to consider blue flame but for another £700 i didn't think it was worth my money!

I had a mobile mechanic do it... he never even finished the job!

Then i had a garage look at it and re fit lasted about a week

Then Seat re-fitted and thats lasted about 2months!

I'd say go for the downpipe first as this should help gain more power (with correct mapping), the front mount will help release any power that is being restricted by the poor side mount.

As for having problems with the downpipes... its a first really. I did a group buy on these early last year i think it was, sold around 14 of them and had no issues at all come back since. Where did you get the downpipe from?

My DP is 1 of the 14! I just wanna pay someone who can take it all off put new gaskets on do what they need to do make sure its all properly fitted so i don't get any problems but after being through 4 pople already!

What do you do?!

Sorry for blaming miltek but when my standard dp was fitted with the supersprint system I didn't have any problems what so ever.
