mileage display gone!!

hey guys just noticed my mileage, time, etc display has 'blanked' out- the red backlight is still there but the digits have gone

is this a common fault or any ideas what can it be? mines a 02 plate 1.4 leon. any help appreciated guys

disconnect battery for 20 mins, re connect then try, while batt is removed check fuses etc,

not saying it will work but worth a shot

you ok guys jus wonderin if any1 else has got cupra r kits as iv got a 1.4 leon on an 02 plate and cupra r wheels
