I have a Toledo 2001 TDI (110bhp) but find for the job that I do (requiring a faster response) that the suspension is a bit soft for my liking & brakes just a bit hot after the journey.

Can anyone give me advice on suppliers of suspension parts that will give me the ride/road holding of a Cupra………I’m after a cheap way as not too distant future I will be changing to a Leon Cupra or 150bhp TDI anyway.

Someone said about “coil overs” …………..what are they ?

Any advice on the brakes / (Disks & pads on back & front are relatively new….so is there a pad that will increase performance of the brakes alone ?)

If your thinking of changing it the easiest thing to do and probably the cheapest is to change the suspension springs.....
long term this is not really good for your shocks, but if your not keeping it

not sure on coil over costs but i dont think replacement suspension (stiffer/sportier) will be particularly cheap. you get what you pay for.

need to wiegh up how long you are keeping the car.......or on the other hand how much disposable cash you have.....it wont add to the value of the car :)

Anyone got any website addresses for good suppliers of suspension parts & wheels ?

Is it cheaper to buy Cupra parts from SEAT & fit these ?....will they fit ?

I'd like to go for lowered, new springs & shocks on all 4 corners. But would like to do a bit investigating as to what others have done in that department. (ie where the bits bought from....website/catalogue available etc)
Must admit your mods sound & look great in your photo.
maybe a harder front brake pads ?
