Hiya
I was looking around the internet and found a company called Micro-chip Tuning in Germany.
I thought that would be nice in my Cupra. Alittle more power!

Have any of you guys used or heard of them?

Thanks in advance

Iv never heard of them. What results are they claiming and what's the cost? I know I wouldn't be adding any unknown box or anything cheap to my car. I would stick to uk (where I presume you are?) so if the worst happened or needed support with a box then it's at your doorstep. DTUK have a good reputation. But you get what you pay for and its about as costly as a remap.

Its probably correct..

but at what cost?

You could get nearly 250 with a custom remap for just a little more

Price

Hiya
Its just over £200 delivered.
Looking at the vid on youtube, it takes minutes to fit. Can easily be removed back to stock to for servicing.
They are sold by the company who make them in Germany on Ebay. Item 131106951088.
I am so tempted, maybe worth a try.
I just wondered if anyone on here had tried one.
Good to hear all your comments.

I tried a box tuning before i got the car remapped, the car did get extra hp.. but i highly suspect its not good for the engine..

a box basicly tricks the engine to supply more fuel.. but theres alot of other factors you need to considder, such as EGT, boost sensors, etc etc.

get a remap, it will get ALL settings in order, not just fuel pressure.

You will get higher boost pressure, more fuel, and everything will be in order.

I do not reccomend a box

Specially not on a cupra, if i had some cheap old car i might.

I got 15 hp from the box who promised 37

I got 50 hp / 100 nm on a dyno with a remap

Revo

Thanks for feedback.
I think I might stick with getting Revo Remap instead.
As you say car is only 18 months old.

Not here in DK :) if stage one is only 200 hp id think its not worthwhile.

Youre right though, 250 is pushing it.. but somewhere around 220+ should be possible with a custom remap?

Revo sounds like a good choise aswell as APR.. I know Revo make alot of effort to make sure the engine is not pushed to a harmful extent.. :)
