Me rust spot has been sorted!!!!

Well after my previous post ref the rust spot on the rear hatch of my Cupra it has now been sorted.

Dropped the car of on mon morning and collected today - a great service from the dealer - Holders of Congresbury near Bristol.

Rather than treating the area they have completely replaced the whole boot with a new one!!!!! Bargain!!!!

So i now have a shiny rear end whistle: ) and it looks much better.

Get on the case if i was you - mine took approx 7 days for authorisation and they phoned me straight away when they received the ok!!

Where on the boot was the rust? I aint got any, but worth keeping an eye out for!

underneath the wiper base, right at the lip of the window and the body.

Hope the colour match was ok ralph.

I took mine to a dealer and they said it has to be rusted to a hole for them to fix it! I will ask again while my car is at a different garage

Is this done under anti corrosion warranty? or did you pay? My car is now 6 years old and has the same prob a small bubble obviously where the rear jet has dribbled!

Push your finger through, and then take it to them!

he got it done under the warranty.

Mine was only surface, no hole, so it depends on how nice the dealer is i guess.

Well mine is just 2 surface bits, they have taken a pic but it may be hit or miss as the previous owner tried to touch it up
