Need a bit of help regarding boost controllers. I would like to fit a manual version, but unsure which one to buy, seems to be several different ones on ebay, all varying in price.

Can anyone recommend one that doesn't cost the earth?

Would also like to know how many people have these fitted alongside a remap, and how well they work together. Pros/cons?

Cheers Willy. Will look into those now. Remember reading on here that you can unplug hoses from n75, leave the n75 electrically connected and then use the mbc in its place? Just have to bung one of the pipes, can't remember which one though.

What is the standard boost for an LC?

Most boost spikes are down to the mapping. Most stage 1 maps spike to about 17/18psi then start to tail off.

Most stage 2 maps dont spike (or not as much as a stage 1 map) and are set to circa 21psi then start to tail off.

Thanks for that Damoegan, very helpful :) So is it worth me fitting a mbc now then? Will be looking at an exhaust system and remap in the future, not going for huge figures

Not realy worth it IMO. Unless you fit it once its stage 1 mapped, you can fit it in paralell with the N75 valve and it takes the boost spike out.

But you dont want to fit a MBC just to increase boost without it being mapped for higher boost.

If you fit it without the remap to increase boost, the requested boost vs actual boost will be way out and you'll go into limp mode.

My remaped cupra spikes to around 20psi then holds 18psi dropping as it gets towards the redline....
