Hey folks!

I may have to sell my beloved Cupra!!!As my workplace is moving! I no longer have the luxury of walking to work!

But it only looks like i'll be selling up, to get a Ibiza MK4 Cupra TDi instead! So still staying in the Seat Cupra crew! :)

It's not huge distances I will be doing daily, but enough of a distance to warrant a diesel.

Have any of you done the same?

i'm doing 20-25miles each way to work, and recnelty traded in my 1,5petrol swift for a diesel ibiza. its already saving me money on fuel as getting 8-9days driving over 4-5days of driving

just makesure the cost to sell and change the tdi is wortht ehsaving in fuel,

don't sell it just as the Cupra tdi is a diesel and assume you're going to be better off. as remember you will have higher depreciation on a petrol than a tdi and to get a similar aged tdi will cost you extra money. Cupra tdi is good on fuel , but if you take advantage of all that torque the MPG can drop lower than the headline figures by quite a bit.

i did the change back in 2006, sold my 18 month old FR 1.8T and in theose 18 months i clocked up 42000 miles. so swapped to the Tdi version and 1 month latter my company announced they were moving into central london and i could no longer drive in to work,

so all i'm saying is don;t make the move just yet, try it once you have moved office etc and see how it goes with the ezxisting car before making the decsion to change car.

although cupra tdi is the better car as you probably know...lol
