Has anyone heard of maxxis tyres???

I went in today to get some falken 452's put on me cupra R and the guy advised me to get some maxxis z1's which are suppose to be better than falken tyres.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

i never even heard of them until today! I might as well buy a wheelchair if it doesnt stop snowing here, probs go faster in one than the lcr.

Hopefully someone will read this who is using maxxis, as i need 2 tyres rather sharpish and gonna try and skive work tomorrow for a bit to get some put on!

Might give them a go and if they are ****, be heavy right footed for a bit and hopefully they wont last long then get some decent ones on. Ill have a few stellas tonight and maybe decide after 7 or 8 cans.

I use maxxis tyres on my kart and bikes, great in that application. My mate also has them on his van and they have lasted well; but it is a citroen van, not quite an lcr!

a lot better than the toyo t1rs they lasted 3000 mile and were toast stay well clear

hi,
ive just been quoted £75 a tyre for maxxis, 225/40/18 91y its the best price by a mile but thats got to indicate something, the place i get tyres the maxxis are like the mid-range tyre, also falken and maxxis are the same thing, same factory and everything, different tyre designs, but im thinking if your happy with falkens you will be happy with maxxis, just dont tyre chalk them beauties, not such a big make yet ha. think im going to get a full set of toyo Z3 or Z5's anyone heard of or like them?

mid range tyre again, but got a price for dunlops came out at 750!

My LCR had new Maxxis tyres put on by the deler when I brought it, they seem hard and don't seem to have worn at all after 6k miles, my GF drives the car most of the time to be fair, they seem a bit noisy too.
My Vectra company car runs on 18's and the lease company always put on Michelin Pilot Sports, they seem to last far less but are alot nice tyre pattern and seem the grip alot better considering the weight of the car etc.
I won't be putting Maxxis back on the LCR!

you need most likely 225/45 R17 tires
check these, and then decide

("besonders empfhelenswert" means highly recommended. empfhelenswert means recommended, nicht empfhelenswert means not recommended. trocken/nass/gerausch/verbrauch/verschleiss in order: grip dry/grip wet/noise/MPG/tire wear)

I also used to have maxxis on my bike, but not anymore. schwalbes are much better. :)

maxxis car tires are cheap, and somebody said, you get what you've payed for.
a tire is hard, then it means it doesn't grip. you will have more MPG, but that's all. it's bad on water, bad on dry surface, makes hell of a noise....

I have maxxis on the rear of my FR and to be honest they are not great but better then my 'Linglong' budget fronts. I payed about £80 quid each for the Maxxis but literally thats all i could afford at the time. I Had Toyo's on my previous car and the Maxxis dont even touch them in comparison. Cant wait to replace all four tyres but i dont drive like a nutter so they will do for now.
