Maximum Boost ?

Hi Peeps,

Quick question... what would/is the maximum boost PSI a Cupra can take on standard internals..ect....

i just want to make sure im not running to much, i see my gauge im my car in higher gears peak ~24psi and 5th gear it tries to creep up to ~26psi ! now this is the reading of my boost gauge so think i may have to do some logs of requested v actual boost, will have to find what log it is unless someone knows.

Block 115 for requested vs actual boost
Block 114 or 118 for waste gate duty

Im not sure what safe boost levels are for standard internals, but im sure 26psi is within limits. All depends on how the boost is delivered. Would be good to see some logs anyway mate!

well seeing as stage one without many modifications sees 20 psi I'm sure its fine

Mine used to peak 26psi, well boost gauge readthat briefly. Think ive heard of 28/29psi being the maximum boost run on one in the past. Wouldnt want to go anymore than 26 as a maximum tho purely for reliability

Yeh thats what i was thinking about reliability, sure the turbo can handle it just didnt want push my engine to much, never used peak this much before when i first went hybrid, logs will find out tho,

thought it was power that would feck the internals! boost would blow turbo,

I had this problem with the N75

switched it to a MBC and adjusted it and all its fine...No Boost spikes ect
