Max offset for alloys

Hello all,
Can anyone tell me the max offset that will work on a mk4. Seen some nice 17" alloys but the offset is 54! Did do a search for offset with no success. Cheers

OK have ditched the idea of those 54 offset alloys and am onto these below, they are called 17" Mille Miglia HT3 alloy wheels. Where could i get these from?
