Boost Pressure sensor

Stuck my car on vag com came up with boost pressure sensor.

Was just wondering where i could get 1 of these online or if anyone knows any better places thanks

Car is Ibiza tdi 90 2000

Also car has been running really sluggish could this be the problem or could it just be my turbo that needs stripping and cleaning?

Thanks

just did a little search for boost pressure sender as I am notr entirely sure what problem you're having.
You need to post the entire fault which will help us help you more. As for stripping turbo to clean it, I have never heard of this before. If you regularly do your service to the car then the oil and coolant passing through turbo will be new as well. I guess that once you get huge clouds of smoke etc then you need a new one, but as long as it works fine its fine...

Hi

Could someone please help me I'm trying to locate the MAP sensor (Thrust sensor) on a MK3 Ibiza TDi S?

If anyone could enlighten me on the where abouts of this or if you have a picture highlighting where it is that would be great.

Thanks

Dan

MAP sensor is usually mounted in the pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body / inlet manifold.

Ok thanks for your replies

Would this be easy to get to and could I fit it myself or would it be a case of gettin garage to do it?

Thanks

do it yourself mate. Wil probably be plastic welded onto the pipe, so maybe you;'ll need to replace the whole pipe. But these are usually held on by only 2 clamps...

piece of cake imo

Im selling a MAP sensor from my cupra, don't know for sure if it would work on your car with it being a TDI. The adds in the for sale section, take a look :D

get a new map sensor from vagparts.com, and replace yourself, easy job, find it in the plastic pipe as mentioned before, on your ibiza life off the engine cover and you will see it in front if you, just infront of the engine block. two screws to remove and unplug connector, swap out. job done.

posting up in the TDI section would have got you a quicker response as well ;)
