MAP Sensor Re-location Help Needed.

Not sure if anyone on here can help me currently undertaking my second 18t conversion in a mk1 golf but this time using standard management, all the charge cooling pipework is custom as you would imagine, stainless steel tube and Samco. I was planning to fit the map sensor in the inlet manifold but did a bit of digging before drilling and tapping the manifold and found this was not possible. I have also heard that you can buy weld in stainless bosses but I can't find them for the life of me.

How have you fitted yours, i'm sure most of you guys that have upgraded your intercoolers would have had to re locate.

It needs to be between the intercooler and the throttle body. Have you got a MAP sensor? There are two different sizes (12mm and 16mm).

Forge have a MAP sensor boss, but it's aluminium but they will do a custom job and weld one into an aluminium pipe for you if you give them a drawing.

I think I did see a stainless or steel one somewhere, once, but can't remember where...

The one I have I imagine is the smaller of the two as is from a late mk4 golf, thanks for the info mate.

Thats just what I need mate, nice I may have to purchase one, project nearly finished and this is one of the last bits I need.
