came out the gym last night an turned the key and nothing, clock was at 0.00 inside light came on, headlights came on, cd player the lot. Just didn't start, no clickin either. Waited a minute an tried again, started clickin an my dash started flashin like a saturday night fever dancefloor, but still nothin. kinda shouted an swore a lot for another 30 seconds then thought i'll give it one more go, same as before but after about 5 seconds there was life. drove fine an as soon as i pulled on my drive the tcs an abs light came on. car started fine this mornin, no lights then halfway into my commute they both came on again. got to uni, had a lecture went back an now it's just the abs that's on???

any idea's anyone?

Would be greatly appreciated

Dodgy earth maybe, if you can get to the main one to the back of the fusebox aswell as the main live feed to the fusebox.

check all main earth points, battery - battery to chassis (next to battery) - chassis to engine (next to starter motor)

I agree with the above. Maybe sand down the connection points slightly if there is some oxidation, causing bad connection

clock would automatically get the right time because it'll be in auto mode. it does seem to be an earthing connection though. with the abs/traction control lights on, did you get any feedback through the brake pedal below 20mph? thats always a sign of an ABS sensor fault.
