Probably think I'm really stupid for asking, but in a manifold such as:

which is top and which goes at the bottom?

are you asking, because you are actually thinking of buying and fitting that manifold?

DONT

its cheap ebay crap
it wont fit
and it will crack in 5 minutes

steer well clear of shiny manifolds sold on ebay

I would strongly advise buying a manifold through one of the forum sponsors, as it will be guaranteed to fit, produce good gains but most importantly have good customer after care IF anything does go wrong

It's not coming from ebay. I got the pic off of ebay as pictures on most websites are watermarked

either way I wouldnt buy it

if you look inside the manifold the inside looks very rough

the inside of a high flow manifold should be as smooth as possible to aid air flow . Also I am not sure I can see a merge collector on the neck of the manifold. This again is an issue where air flow cannot be distributed evenly. Coupled with the rough inside of the manifold, these are two major flaws of its design already and will probably hinder the turbo, for a so called uprated manifold

just avoid it mate, seriously

what turbo are you looking to fit the manifold too out of interest?

whats a merge collector? is it like equal length pipes?

to simply explain it

its a dividing part in the neck of the manifold, so it helps distribute the air through the manifold evenly, ensuring a similar level of air flows down each collector and into the head

distributing the air evenly is key to aid quicker spooling of the turbo, but most importantly, once the turbo is spooled, to then allow it to sustain boost as much as possible with the air flowing evenly and quickly throughout the manifold which is aided by the collector

which company are selling that manifold by the way?

I can't talk directly from experience of that manifold but the price speaks volumes to
me.....
