the way in which the tdi sport handles! Mines standard and it aint up 2 much. I mean it's not terrible but it aint brill either. But the car is so much fun to drive that you end up forgiving its shortcomings handling wise. By the way does the strut brace really help, cus i saw one post that said didn't make no difference. Another thing chaps, is it about £750 for facelift FR bumpers painted?? cheers

Strut brace made a difference for me. It also worth changing the tyres for something a bit more sticky.

I must admit when i first fitted the brace i didn't notice too much difference (took the dual carriageway home) but when driving on something a bit more........twisty, the car does feel firmer - i'd be keen to drop it a bit too - mainly for the look though but that's a distant plan..........

Sounds more like torque steer! Maybe you should put off the remap for now! it'll only get worse ;)

Villan for the price of this modification i dont think its worth questioning if the seat sport strut brace is worth it it looks fab and might even tighten up your steering

funny

in the first few weeks of ownership i didn't notice hardly any torque steer. But yes your correct in your diagnosis. I think the tread on the fronts must be wearing giving more torque steer, what u guys reckon?? Concerns me about getting a remap. I don't want a torque steer monster that i can't control.
