My mate has always slagged Seat's off and as far as i can remember his daddy has always got him what ever he wants!! Now just recently i have brought mk2 gti 16v, and left all my mates behind in there little 1.4's! Now daddies little boy is getting a mk3 cupra r! and is boasting how he'll once again have the fastest car!! u might think im sad but i need to have a faster car than him!! PLEASE HELP!!

its funny that, aint it!! i had a 1.4s mk3 ibiza and he always popped lil comments on it being slow and a spanish piece of ****! Now i love it when his lil 1.4 mg zr disappears in my mirror!! but seriously i need a VR6 or 1.8t

oh also, a friend of mine i went to school with, when he turned 20 or 21 i think it was, his daddy brought him a V6 Clio Mk1. Daddy had brought it so he had had a good year in the company and was a kinda tax fiddle. He only had to pay for the insurance and running costs of the car.

i understand your pain, i had a corsa as my first car and this guy in my year got bought an audi a3, it was a 1.6 though, 120bhp, but the car weighed the same as a house. ibeat him in the polo though, and told him that was a 1.3 haha

Have you actully seen this cupra R yet or is it what he has told you? cos i dont think theres many about at the moment? Well not where ive been looking. Never know he might end up getting a normal cupra if thats the case and in standard form the 16v`s faster. If you get really hacked off and can afford it get a normal cupra and re-map it, if he knows nothing about cars dont tell him about re-maps and just waste him everythime! and play dumb... errrr dont know why my 156bhp is faster than your 180bhp

Step two: Get a half decent car
Step three: Challenge people with technically faster cars than you to a race on the backroads.

That's what my brother does. And he's driving an old 1.1 pug 205! He's kicked the crap out of everyone around with the best times for a very popular backroad route near me.


I mean, anyone can push a pedal down in a high power car. But it takes real skill to handle corners efficiently and well enough to gain that extra speed and time!

i agree with jamiepyrite his car may have more power but the mk2's are more fun to drive you feel more involved, and at the end of the day daddies boy won't drive it properly he'll just rely on the power, and hopfully crash it with his poor driving

and besides there is always someone that has a better car than you

Good point. I've nailed some theoretically faster cars in my 16v... For example, I obliterated a Civic Type R that said 'Bye Bye GTI' in the back window haha

Remap and some lighter BBS alloys coupled with high grip tyres. Just dont tell him about your mods
