ok driving home last night , went over a bump in the road i didn't see and the car just cut out all the lights light up on the dash then went out .

turn it off to try and start it again was cranking but was not firing , i know notice the ecl and epc light were not lighting up only the tcs light popped along with the usual lights ,

put the car on the autel diagonositic and check engine and it said link error , then check abs barke section and it engine control module , no communication sparradic which would say to me the ecu is boggered or some earth issue ? think its time to start breaking this car i think

My cupra r was doing that last week cleared the fault and it was fine..
It is a crank sensor that is fecked on mines..

where is the crank sensor located ?

I havnt got a clue mate.. I put it in the garage to get a new one fitted.. sometimes it takes a while to start i havnt got it back to the garage yet for them to fix it..

Are you a member of the AA? I got them out to it and then cleared all the faults with their computer and it started first turn of the key
