I've just bought a Mahle cabin filter off ebay (it's the activated carbon type), and it's too big to fit into the frame.

It's a Mahle LAK 63 filter, BTW, which references to the vw bora and golf MK IV.

If I compare it to my old filter, it's about 5mm too thick. The old one (non-carbon Fram) is about 25mm thick, the new one is 30mm ish.

Do they do two versions of the toledo? One with the carbon filter and one with the standard one? Is the carbon one supposed to be thicker?

Cheers,

I have used the Hengst E900LC carbon filters off Ebay, they fit Toledo's no problem.

As far as I could tell, the Hengst carbon jobbie was exactly the same size as the genuine non-carbon filter that I removed.

Whereabouts off ebay did you get it from? I've had a look but can only find hengst oil fiters!!
