Heres a good one. If you could wave a magic wand over your Leon and change 5 things to improve it what would you do???

only 5!!..

ok heres mine:

1, Reduce mileage and wear to 0 miles
2, Make paintwork A1 (i.e respray my pepper pot bonnet)
3, Give it 4wd
4, Give it 300bhp
5, make it handle like a god

and the rest.....

  • Change the lights so that turning the ignition off with the lights on turns the dashboard lights off as well as the external ones.
  • Add more covered storage for hiding stuff around the driver.
  • Move the cargo net hooks into the corners of the boot and at floor level and reduce the height of the boot lip.
  • Add a curry/grocery bag hook on the passenger side.
  • Change the cloth seats to leather with proper lumbar support.

Mainly the same as last time

1) Replace front fog lights with driving lights.

2) Replace head rest with one that isn't designed for you to be wearing a helmet.

3) Add parking sensors *to sides* that tell you when you're an inch away from kerbing your alloys.

4) Add steering wheel mounted contols for audio.

5) Add switch to turn off the cloaking device that makes w*nkers pull out in front of me.

in no particular order:

1) add steering wheel controls for stereo
2) make the gearbox work nicely
3) allow for greater grip under hard acceleration
4) less clutch pedal travel
5) make me 6 inches taller (does that count??)

A cupra R bodykit :p
Stage 2 custom remap and KS04 turbo Up to circa 300Bhp)
Top class springs and dampers
Some mighty brakes to control all that power
A magical chip which gives 120MPG without comprimising performance :p

More grip (4WD?)

More power to safely put down

A front splitter that doesn't scuff everytime I go down a floor from floor 12 of the multi-storey

A look similar to the Iakoski Leon prototype (especially that bonnet!)

A residual value of 100%... In fact, no; a car that goes up in price as it ages :p

1. better quality plastic on doors and the glovebox area etc

2. slightly better noise insulation

3. a quieter warning beep

after 90k miles of leon mk 1 driving cant think of another two..??

Can I just congratulate Soper1981 for starting such a good thread. A lot of topics on here are simply us lot (myself included as a guilty party) asking about problems we are having with the car. It's nice to have some general Leon-related chit chat on here.

Any way a toast to Soper1981

1, better handling under power
2, have a full system zorst wit de-cat and manifold
3, lose my dash board rattle
4, leather recaros
cant find number 5 as i love my cupra r only 1 & really annoy me both can b fixed

ok, silly things aside (apart from the flux capacitor),

Heated front windscreen

Decent wipers (!)

MP3 input for OEM stereo, in fact, just a decent OEM stereo

Xenon headlights that show more than 40 yards of the road ahead

Bit more leg room in the back would be nice too :)

1. Repairing all the rattles in the back of the car
2. Electric memory seat and mirror positioning as my missus is nearly a foot smaller than me
3. Something to stop the back panel of the car getting so filthy SO quickly
4. For all the metal body panels to be repalced by aluminium ones
5. As LSD magically found its way into the set up......

drool...

1. Respray after some seagulls used my car for target practice :censored:
2. 4 WD
3. More power :D
4. Heated electric memory seats
5. Bigger wheels to house the bigger brakes that I'd like to install :D

Hey Mark quieter warning beep is easy, take out clocks, behind them on them you will see a round black thing with a hole in (piezo speaker) cover hole with a sticker (small) and put back together, then test open door with lights on, bit qieter and bit less shrill!

3. a quieter warning beep
halleluya brother.scares the crap out of me every time.over a year now,and i'm still not used to it.thank god my low screen wash doesn't work/is non existant
